The Niagara Parkway which runs alongside the Niagara river for 51 kms (32 miles) between the old town of Niagara and Fort Erie is used by cyclists, joggers, walkers, and motorists alike and is considered by many to be one of the prettiest avenues in Canada. On the waterfront there are steamboat cruises, and jet boat excursions through the Niagara Whirlpool.
