Just outside your patio door is a peaceful little courtyard waiting for you. It is a green garden patio hideaway, a secluded, sun-drenched escape during the day and a quiet, candle lit feel once the sun goes down. Guests can sit under the thick canopy of our old crabapple tree, which keeps things cool and shady, all while being surrounded by imperial palms, ferns, and coleus that change with the seasons. Built on classic bricks, the patio features a custom wood staircase that leads up to the balcony, creating a multi-level outdoor living space that feels both spacious for a group but still nice and intimate when you just want a quiet moment to yourself.
In the evenings, the vintage lantern casts a warm light over the garden, while the gentle splash of the lion fountain makes it the perfect spot to relax and forget about the busy world outside.
The Secret Garden
Guests enjoy wine, charcuterie, light refreshments, and bites in our Secret Garden. Spring introduces the blossoms of Japanese cherry, summer deepens a lush colony of ferns and coleus, and autumn reveals the rich seasonal tones of the sequoia. As you look down the garden, the Japanese Tea House, surrounded by golden bamboo and Florida magnolia, offers a charming focal point, an intimate outdoor retreat perfect for unhurried conversation, afternoon tea, or a relaxed game of cards at the table.
In the evening, the Japanese lantern softly lights the Secret Garden, casting a warm glow over our ancient iron urn and cozy seating areas, creating a warm, old world ambiance that feels both timeless and serene. This is where time stands still.
