The old town of Niagara is a well preserved architectural gem surrounded by vineyards and fertile fruit orchards which reflect back to the days when fruit and passengers left the old town by steam boats for Toronto and Buffalo.

The modern visitor will find many activities available including winery tours, bicycle tours, roller blading along the Niagara river, 28 golf courses, tennis, swimming, and horse drawn buggys. Niagara Falls is just 15 miles away and as well its usual attractions boasts a new casino.

The Niagara Parkway which runs alongside the Niagara river for 32 miles between the old town of Niagara and Fort Erie is used by cyclists, joggers, walkers, and motorists alike and is considered by many to be one of the prettiest avenues in Canada.

On the waterfront there are steamboat cruises, and jet boat excursions through the Niagara Whirlpool.



Morning papers and freshly brewed dark roast coffee and assorted teas await the early riser at 6:30 am. Take it to your room or enjoy it in one of our lounges or outside on the patio or tea house garden.

Join us in our bistro style breakfast room where you will treated to a complimentary full European style breakfast between 8 & 10 am. The buffet table is overflowing with scrumptious, nutritional offerings all homemade from scratch using seasonal ingredients.


On any given day, Guests will be tempted to a variety of juices, fresh fruit salad, homemade greek style yogurt, cold cuts, cheese, hard boiled eggs, freshly baked breads, croissants, danishes and muffins. These warm baked treats are served with a large assortment of Hero jams, cream cheese, local honey and mustard. Also available are an assortment of healthy cereals and homemade granola. A delicious and changing warm entree will be served daily at 9 am.

With advance notice, special dietary requests can be accommodated.


The Blairpen House library has a full compliment of historical texts and reference books of the Niagara region featuring Niagara-on-the-Lake as well as Niagara Falls. A perfect setting for a relaxing afternoon, or an evening in front of the fireplace with a good book and a glass of local estates wine.


The Garden Lounge features wicker furniture with period antiques and overlooks our garden. Guests may catch up on news and sporting events on cable television, or simply make new friends in front of the fireplace. Guests have found it a nice place to relax after a long day of exploring in Niagara’s wine country.
